How it works
From enquiry to clearance, in five clear steps
Most asbestos enquiries follow the same path, whether the property is a terraced house in Bolton or a commercial unit in Trafford Park. This is the route from first message to signed paperwork.
Send your brief
Fill in the short form with the property type, what you have found and your postcode. The more detail the better, but the basics are enough to start.
We match you to specialists
We review your brief, work out which type of specialist fits and pass it to qualified companies covering your area.
Survey or sample
Most projects start with a short survey or a single bulk sample, so the next step is built on real lab data instead of a guess.
Controlled works
Where removal is needed, the contractor works under the right tier of controls, with enclosures and air monitoring for licensed jobs.
Paperwork and sign-off
Survey reports, waste consignment notes and clearance certificates land in your inbox at the end of the job for your records.
What makes the process smooth
The single biggest factor is the survey. Almost every job that goes wrong is a job that started without one. A two-hour survey produces a written register that the next contractor can quote against accurately, instead of guessing the scope and adjusting the price half way through.
The second factor is matching the work to the right tier of contractor. Asbestos cement roof sheets and floor tiles are non-licensed work, which means a competent operator under a written method statement is enough. AIB panels, sprayed coatings and lagging are licensed work, which means an HSE-licensed contractor working inside an enclosure with negative pressure and air monitoring. Sending the wrong tier to a job either over-prices it or under-controls it. We route based on the survey findings.
The third factor is paperwork. Waste consignment notes, four-stage clearance certificates and lab reports are not optional extras. They are the documents that conveyancing solicitors, insurers and tribunal lawyers ask for. Every contractor on the network produces them as standard.
How long does the whole thing take?
For a single domestic job, from enquiry to signed paperwork is usually one to two weeks. The survey is booked within 48 to 72 hours, the report lands a week later, and removal is scheduled around the report. For commercial work the programme is project specific.
